Mr Ciaran Barton
Ciaran has completed his Bachelor of Psychology (with Honours), and also holds a Bachelor of Criminology. He is a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS), and College of Clinical Psychologists. Ciaran places a strong emphasis in providing empathy, compassion and a positive-focused mindset to his clients. With a particularly strong interest in the LGBTQIA+ community, he provides individuals with increased awareness around their personal strengths, as well as tools to strive towards overcoming personal hardships and barriers. Ciaran approaches his therapy with a strong evidence-based approach. He empowers clients to develop the necessary skills to increase satisfaction and quality of life.
Ciaran is completing his Masters of Psychology (Clinical) and registration as a general psychologist. Wellington Street Psychology is a placement location for Provisional Psychologists. Provisional Psychologists have completed at least a four year degree at University (three year undergraduate degree in psychology and a honours/graduate diploma fourth year). They are currently completing either a general registration pathway or are completing a postgraduate Masters, Doctorate, or Masters/PhD. Provisional psychologists are qualified to provide psychological assessment and treatment under the supervision of a Board-Registered Psychology Supervisor and can provide affordable psychological care to our clients. There is no requirement for a mental healthcare plan or referral and therefore long-term psychological treatment without Medicare limitations is available via this service. The cost of a 50-minute consultation individual with Ciaran is $75.00. Fees are payable at the end of the session by cash, EFTPOS, or credit card. Medicare rebates are not applicable for sessions with provisional psychologists.
